Dawes Device installation

Dawes Device installation
Hi,
Yet another question lol. I think i'm going to order a detalarm from roojai first of all. The wife would prob move out if i spend 700 quid on the power fc, so i think i might go with a dawes device for the time being until i can convince the wife lol.
So, where is the best place to get one? And, i have a 2 port boost solenoid on my MY98. How do i install the dawes device as most people have the 3 port one i believe??
Do i need to do anything else at all or simply a knock sensor and a dawes? What is the standard fuel cut set to? 18psi?
Cheers guys
Nicky
Edit: i've just noticed on the way home if i plant it in 3rd my boost hits 1.2 bar which is almost 18psi, is that normal?

I've just bought one from 3BarBoost in America, £20 delivered to my door! Does take 2 weeks to arrive though!
I believe you fit it between the turbo nipple (after the turbo, going to the IC) and the wastegate actuator!

Yeah, what ever pipes you pull off in order to fit the Dawes must be blocked. I'm going to use a couple of oversized bolts and block the pipes that way!
Nick
PS - I've fitted one before and they really are very easy to fit. It's the taking the car out and then adjusting it accordingly that takes the time up!

let us know how you get on fitting it! I assume you have to pull off the pipes from the oem boost solenoid and plug them??

So,
Can anyone please confirm what the standard MAP sensor on a 98 is set to for boost cut?
What are other people running boost wise on their cars that have a similar setup?
Also, i want some nice silicon vacuum tubing for installation when i get the dawes, does any one know what internal diameter i need? 3mm? 5mm? Its going very cheap on eBay so just need a diameter.
Full decat and panel filter....
Just ordered myself a detalarm from roojai...
Cheers

The Map sensor on a 'facelift' can read a higher boost level than a pre-facelist car. I think it is around 1.5 bar from memory.
The fuel cut is set by your ecu.
Boost Targets & Fuel-Cut Limits
WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi
WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi.
UK/Aus/Euro ECU's V7, 7D and 6D - 11.47psi, dropping to 9.47psi at 6600rpm. With Fuel-cut @ 14.87psi
UK Prodive ECU - 13.33psi (peaks to 13.64 @ 5600rpm, drops to 12.71psi @ 6600rpm). Fuel-Cut 15.65psi.
STi RA (1996) ECU 7K - 13.17psi (peaks to 13.64psi @ 5800rpm). Fuel-Cut 15.96psi.
WRX Wagon ECU V9 - 10.55psi dropping to 6.84psi (starts to drop @ 5000rpm). Fuel-Cut 13.79psi
