Best way to do an oil change?
Which is the best way to do an oil change safely without blowing the engine up straight after? Cos i've heard most blown engines are blown after an oil change because the bottom end gets starved of oil?
Also what oil is advised to be put in and what plugs should i use?
Cheers Dan

Pete? Mester Lewis? Cooey? Where art thou'? LOL
FFS not another f'ing 'how do i change my oil' thread please!
Use the search function for one of the many many threads about it or take the car to a proper garage and get it done right.
Of course, this is only 'ickle old me's opinion.

Fill the filter, refit, fill with oil and turn over. I unplugged my ecu as it was easy to get at. You can leave the plugs in IMO. Some people will let you that you don't need to turn the engine over first without it running but from my experience it takes a while to get the pressure up again.(mine took a good 2 mins of turning over using 15 second bursts till the light went out)
