Won't rev past 5500rpm on a RR..??
My Forester T/tb auto 1998 was at the Forester RR session at WRC Technologies at Silverstone this morning.
It would only complete one run and then the ecu cut in and prevented the engine reving beyond 5500 rpm, didn't matter if it was in D or any other gear.
They also said that the ABS light came on then went out ? ( may be related or not ??? )
The car is and has been , perfectly OK on the road. Back on familiar territory I dropped down into 2 and 3 and the car will accelerate past 5500 with no problem, just as normal !
So, any suggestions as to what it might be, anyone like to stick their neck out and offer an opinion . I will be contacting TSL ( just down the road a bit ) on Monday to see if they can help solve the problem but thought you may like to have a shout as well.
All suggestions taken in good humour.
Cheers
