Default Misfire

Started my scoob up this morning (it was 1 degrees) and let the engine get to 65 degrees as i always do before i set off. However i got to a straight stretch of road and was dealt a misfire as soon as it tries to boost.

Im thinking maybe the coil packs breaking down under load as it runs faultlessly off boost.

car is a 96 STI version 2 with apexi fc commander, decat induction kit etc

Any help is appreciated

Usual things it could be ... Plugs, coil pack(s), HT leads (if present),MAF. Try adjusting the plug gaps down and if its then OK its probably a coil pack loosing its OOomph. Lots of info around on all of these items with a quick search.

Over boosting is much more than a miss, the car totally cuts power until u come off the throttle and back on again. I'm in the process of gapping my plugs down to 0.5mm to cure a miss, if this doesn't do the trick its time to change the coil packs! My car is a MY93 wrx so the coil packs are probably a bit tired.

check the sensor outputs on the commander to see if anything is amiss there.
