Default heat sensor removal

i have a 1995 wrx which has had two sensors go on it, the cam sensor was no problem replacing but the sensor on the exhaust is an absoulute pig to undo! it seems to be well rusted in.
Can anyone suggest any tricks of the trade to get this bugger out ?

Cheers Graham

I take it you mean oxygen sensor ? if so start the car up and let it warm up for 5 minutes , then try to undo it but remember not to burn yourself ! the heat normaly does the trick !

I now have a bigger problem. The sensor on the down pipe i tried to remove is f*$ked so it looks like i am going to have to take the down pipe off to get the rest of the sensor out.
How easy is it to get the down pipe off ?

Cheers Graham

its not as bad as removing the up pipe but im sure there will be a few scrapped knuckles . whilst its off you might as well replace it for a de cat .

I'd double check, but I'm sure the sensor your on about is a cat on fire sensor! leave in place and unplug at other end! this won't cause any problems or CEL's
