Default Boost Gauge Reading

Fitted my boost gauge yesterday.

What should my gauge start at on tick over.

The gauge sits AT "0" When switched off, start the car it drops too 0.2 bar then when im pulling through the gears it seems fine.

My car is a std 2ltr turbo, what should i be getting Boost wise, after some spirited driving it rose to 1.3 Bar.

Also before i fitted the gauge my dog chewed the 3mm nylon vacuum pipe supplied with it, i have chopped most of it out but its still in a ****ty way (Kinked). Will this affect the reading.

OK, mine are Defis, so not exactly the same as yours.

When ignition is switched off, the needle on mine points straight down, at about -1.0bar.
With the ignition on, but engine not fired up, it sits at 0bar.
On tickover, it sits at, or hovers over -0.6bar.

As for maximum boost, mine's not relevant, as I've had LINK and a remap

I do remember that before both, maximum boost was in the region of 1.1bar, and that Bob Rawle aimed to get it near to 1.3bar after the remap.

Car is a UK '98 turbo.
