Default Fault codes and their meanings

Is there a list of all the fault codes and what they mean anywhere?

also is there a way to reset the ECU on a newage car easily without the use of a computer? i.e. disconnecting the battery for a while etc....

AFAIK........disconnecting the battery does not reset the ECU on a bugeye.

If you have a bugeye, how are you reading the fault codes. Do you have a SECS unit or access to Deltadash?

A list of fault codes are available on the PSI3 website

i will be checking the code through delta dash (assuming it hasnt turned itself off again by the time i get back on saturday) there is no activty on the KL and no nasty noises comnig from the engine so hopefully its nothing serious.

I didnt think you could reset the ECU on newage easily :P

Neilo

Looks like the above codes have been "cut and pasted" from the PSi3 stuff I have and yes, they are for the newage and beyond. Actually I think that all OBD II codes are the same for all newer cars.

I think what ninnybobs is hinting is that the MY01 / 02 bugeye ECU seems to generate more random numbers than ERNIE does for the premium bonds.....LOL

Neilo..the ECU stores "historic" codes that can be read when the ECU light goes off Does your's have a special "hit nitrous now CEL" LOL

Default my car is running crap. ecu code 22?

ive been driving my car around today and out of the blue it just started to run crap, the tickover has gone all rough and it wont rev past 3k. my first thought was the maff but i disconnected it and the car started to run even worse and cut out so its not the maff, ive checked the ecu codes and 23 came up which is maff but thats prob because i disconnected it, code 22 also came up which is the knock sensor. would this be a faulty sensor or would it of detected knock? any help is apreciated.
