ive just noticed that my walbro fuel pump is running quite a lot louder that it usually does, is this a problem with it? its about 6 months old.

sometimes i get a wineing noise from mine, then another day it is ok.

yep same here, posted about it only a few weeks ago asking the exact same thing..!

What I get is the occasional quick 'hum', usually in traffic after a run. Most of the time, however, I can't hear it. They are controlled by a variable speed controller so make sense..

had mine fitted for a few weeks and have heard it whiring from time to time also

had mine very loud not long ago, CEL light on aswell. fuel pump dead.

mine whines now and again... but high flow fuel pumps tend to make noise... a friend of mine came up behind my car after we left work and asked what my car had a wierd noise commin from the trunk.. i told him it's my high flow fuel pump... all he could say was "DAYMN!"
