Default Shall I buy a MY05 STi (I want power!)

I currently have a Nissan 350Z and want to change it for something newer with more pace. I have been looking at MY05 STi's and Evo VIII's. I have the opportunity to buy a STi tomorrow, nearly new, at a good price. The only thing is, it doesn't have PPP. Can I remap the standard STi without changing fuel pumps, etc... to give around the 300bhp mark (eg. with ECUTEK?). I don't know how long the grin factor will last with 260ish bhp that's all. So basically, do you think it is worth me buying this car or waiting longer for one which doesn't have quite so low mileage and is maybe a bit more expensive, but does have PPP.
Thanks in advance,

Steve

If performance is the main criteria, dare I say it but you should look at the EVO in FQ 320 form, especially the MR If you want something more civilised, go for the STi and for just a bit more cash than the PPP get something like the TSL 333 package or eqivelent from Powerstation, WRC Tech. etc (these include an uprated fuel pump) You now start to look at EVO performance.

PS WRC Technologies do a twin turbo conversion on the 350Z - That sounds nice!
