Hi
Im looking at these ecu to remap my forester
The question is
Which one would i gain the most from
Power fc, £750 fitted and mapped
autronic, £1500 fitted and mapped
Also what gains would i be looking at?
the car is runing about 260 bhp
engine mods,
full de-cat
Cheers

What engine mods have you got, can't be much for 260, better off with stock ecu or scooby ecu, please be more precise

Ive had the PFC fitted and mapped by AndyF if this helps?
Or does it have to be specfic to your model?
I can answer a few questions about it but would ask you trust whatever AndyF says.
His advice is the best and the results from his mapping are outstanding. There are many, many threads on here that will say the same thing.
Mine is an MY98 WRX with a few mods more than you have listed. Mapped over a year ago and it still runs like a dream.

When you say gains do you mean power wise? if so then you should gain the same power on both ecu's.
If you mean gains of one ecu over the other then the main difference is MAF..
the PFC will use the maf and the autronic won't.
This means pros and cons for both. Generally the off boost driving should be slightly crisper on the MAF.. the advantage of the Autronic is no MAF problems.. assuming you are sticking with standard turbo for the moment etc..
As I map PFCs, I am trying to not sound biased towards it as I think they are both capable ecus. The PFC is unmistakably good value for money but the fact you are considering the Autronic suggests that this is not necessarily your main priority.
I would suggest you try talking to Paul @ Zen Performance as he does both PFC and Autronic and should be able to help more with a view point on the Autronic as it is not an ecu I currently use.

Thanks for the feedback guys
The limitation on your Forester will be the turbo, does it still have the TD3.5 ? If so I'm surprised you have as much as 260bhp ! A decat, panel filter, TD04 turbo and custom mapping would increase power to approx 280-290 bhp.
At this level my advice would be an Apexi but then I'm also biased
To answer your earlier question, on my race car I now only use One Apexi ECU. I did have a second ECU in there to drive a secondary set of 4 fuel injectors but I have another method of doing that now
