Unhappy ENGINE PROBLEM BETWEEN 6000 - 7000 RPMs

Hope you can know about this. my car is a impreza gt 98 with a VF35 (1.25 Bar), apexi SAFC II, WALBRO 255 HP, DENSO IK22 brand new spark plugs, K&N induction kit, Turbo XS manual boost controller. I live in PERU.

One month ago i started to feel litle failures in third gear at full throtle. It feels like an electric problem. I closed the gap to 0.7mm but the problem persist.

Last saturday i went to the garage and we replace the crank and cam sensors, spark plugs wires are OE new, coil, ignition module. The failure persists. It appears only at 6100, 6200 ans persist to the RPMs ECU CUT at 7200 aprox.

The failure appears only with boost at that level of RPMs. In the garage told me that probably it was a fuel problem, maybe the pump or the regulator, but it sounds like a electric problem for me. MAybe a durty injector? But in that case the problem would be present in all the range of rpms or i am wrong?

Very apreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance.

LG

real simple answer.. change gear before 6k. There ain't much point holding on past there anyway. Especially if you like your engine

Ok. i think that past 6000 is not necessary in street driving but i participe in drag racings. Always have change gear at 7000 without problems.

More ideas?

Close the plug gap to 0.6 accurately & see if it disapears or gets better. + it's not seriously overfuelling is it due to the Walbro Pump & a faulty Fuel Regulator Etc !!!!

Does the S-AFC have an rpm pickup? Does it go a bit haywire when this happens?

My hunch would be crank pickup or earthing problem.

Have you checked it is not lean? try increasing the fuelling on the SAFC.

Have you checked it is not detting? listen with detcans or knocklink/block.

Today, i called the garage. They are cleaning inyectors, sensors, and looking for bad conections. I must call tomorrow for the results.

Thanks for answers.

Can they put detcans on it? can you buy a wideband to check fuelling?

The problem is solved. Apparently it was a problem with one injector.

Thank you very much for your help.
