Default Turbo timer not working

My Blitz dual fatt II turbo timer has recently stopped working. The display still lights up and you can see the automatic counter going up when boost is used. But.....

When I turn the ignition off the car stops as well, instead of the automatic timer cutting in????

Anyone????

OK, I'll check, but surely if the earth wire had come loose then the display wouldn't work???

i think timers are connected to a earth in the ignition aswel, on mine the handbrake earth wire acts like a engine cut off..when i let the hand brake off when its counting down the engine cuts off but it carrys on counting..

ive just read my instructions that i got with mine and timers defo have a seperate body earth wire..so the handbrake wire wouldnt turn off the display..it will take 2 mins to check if its come off, just take the plastic off from round your handbrake and there should be a wire connected underneath

I'll check it! If it's came off would the dashboard light not illuminate to let me know I've left the handbrake on?????

PS - When the ignition is turned off, the screen goes, it doesn't count down????

Cheers for your help!!

check the wire to the handbrake(from the TT), if it don't earth out when the handbrake is engaged, the timer will think the car isn't parked so will turn it's self off

OK, just taken the plastic surround away from the handbrake to find the connection still attatched to the handbrake. So basically it hasn't fallen off. I then traced the wires from the TT back and they went to the steering column area.

What in earth could be causing this?

(It only started to happen once I fitted my flamer kit??????????)

Is it easy for you to disconnect the flamer kit? It sounds like some how you have connected the flamer kit to the TTand this is causing your TT not to work.

Yeah, I think I'll have to take the plastic coverings off the steering column to find the culprit!

Is it easy to take these coverings off to expose the steering column????
