Question UK Classic wagon tunning path...

Doing some searching on this but sticking a post up in any case...

Assuming the base car is a stock UK well serviced Wagon....

1. What power can be expected as standard and how much boost can be run without any further supporting mods?

2. What is the standard turbo and would an STi VF28 be a direct swap / good upgrade option?

3. What power will the standard injectors handle in addition to any boost increase? / would sti yellow from another classic simply drop in and would they require an aftermarket ECU to run in conjunction with the VF28??

It goes without saying that the knocklink, FMIC, Walbro etc would be on the 'to-do' list - my questions arise as I have always had STi's from Japan and never really looked into UK classic stuff untill now.

Aany help appreciated guys. Old ground I know...

Hi mate im sure std power is 208bhp turbo i think is the TD05 but there was a change over to the 04 at some point a 97 cant use a scoobyecu esl chipset thats upto 96, i beleave i have a 95 and run 1bar 14.5pi with a walbro ,ninja sports cat down pipe ,decat mid ,back box and JR panel filter and it is a big difference over std.

That' an aftermarket ECU job then.
Apexi power FC does the job well.

A VF34 would be a good upgrade.
Not really looked at the injectors on a uk 97, but if they are 380cc yellows then they will be able to support the change to the VF34 running at 1.3 ish BAR.

Standard Turbo back then was a TD05 i believe.

A decent front mount intercooler a free flowing exhaust and you'd be looking at 300 horses easy.
