my 94L wrx wagon goes in to ZEN PERFORMANCE wednesday to have the kmh to mph gadget fitted . it currentley cuts out at 180 kmh = 112 mph , will there be any differance in performance ecelaration ...... whats the car gonna be like to drive .. , will the bhp be the same and will it still boost up to 1bar .. parts fitted are : apexi induction kit , later spec top mount intercooler , dump valve , boost tap , full de -cat = magnex 3" down pipe , magnex 2 1/2" decat centre , 3" pipe nur spec back box .. ( sounds awsome ) with 5" round exit ... thanks waz

dont understand the logic of paying for something that you don't know what it is??

however, this item is very straightforward - simply converts your speedo from the current KMH to a MPH reading, everything else stays the same, even the speed limiter!! except the car never now sees this number to activate it as it now resides at 180MPH......................

i know what this gadget does ,thats why im having it done and paying for it ... . im sick of the cutting out at 112mph + 180 kmh. i was not sure what differances to expect . thats why i asked..... .

Expect a rebuild if you keep going over 112mph apart from that, there will be no differences apart from the spedo now reads MPH. make sure your mileage is recorded as it will be xxx km + xxx miles

sorry to but in 5oo,why would you expect a rebuild if going over 112mph?

Most engine failiures reported have been after or during a high speed run.

Some sources also say the standard TMIC scoop looses its efficency after 100mph

just as well ive got a later spec one on mine ..... . just got back from ZEN and i will have to wait to all the traffic has gone to test the car out ... . thanks for all the replies ... WAZ

HERE WE GO ..i had the gearbox one fitted .... i think the cars running a lot better . took about 15 mins to fit and 20 minutes for the car to cool down .. after a nice slow drive to zen .. so you can expect to pay half hours labour fitting time. went down the M1 today and reached 117mph and bottled it . the car had plenty more but im not used to the car going that fast . also the speedo not going of the clock and cutting out at 112 mph . it actually read the right speed. the price was rounded of at £87 . the price of the part was only £55 + £19 labour . also £12.94 vat . ZEN PERFORMANCE ARE HIGHLY RECOMENDED BY ME..THEY ARE A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE WITH GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF SUBARUS .you just have to look at the ZEN DEMMO CAR to see they know what there doing. . ive recently had quite a bit of work done there and with no problems . I HOPE THIS HELPS ... WILL TRY TO TAKE A PIC 2MORRO . ...

fitting one does not make cars run better!! its a convertor, nothing is touched on the engine.

Also be careful about whats speeds you do especially on public roads you dont know who reads these threads
