Default who else does remaps?

i usually get my scoob remapped at powerstation but i think im going to try someone else next as they dont seem to want to take the boost over 1.2bar, my last remap tweek saw me 310.5 bhp which i was happy with but im planning a few more mods now including a 3in exhaust, intercooler mods and induction mods. im running a vf35 and ive noiticed a few people on here running 1.4 bar or at least 1.3. ive got a lot of mods to keep inlet temps down so i should be ok, could anyone recomend someone?

Perhaps Rich doesn't want to blow your engine up, by cranking the boost up.?

What model do you have ? and what other mods do you currently have. Probably the reason why your running 1.2 bar.

its a my00 classic, heres my spec...
vf35 turbo
ported and wrapped headers
greddy up pipe
sti8 intercooler
large scoop
custom undertray and air splitter
walbro pump
parallel fuel rails
ported throttle body
inlet manifold insulators
hks pannel filter
airbox mod with extra cold air feed on the side
prf7b spark plugs
ic spray set up with 3 nozles
3 inch open neck downpipe (wrapped)
decat centre
stage 1 clutch (340 bhp)
full 3in revolution exhaust on the way

just fancy a bit more boost on my next remap tweek but if more than 1.2bar unsafe then i;ll just leave it the same.

better safe than sorry, but someone far better than me can tell you for sure,i doubt anyone would remap a car with the boost set very close to the edge of engine destruction, would not do their reputation very much good would it? so pe prob erring on the side of caution

Which injectors are you using ? - they may be dictating the safe boost level.

All the engines you see running 1.4/1.5 bar will be STI variants. the pistons can cope with a bit more tha uk/wrx pistons.

Have you asked powerstation why they map it at 1.2, instead of having a little dig at them on here. Im sure they know what they are doing

course they know what they are doing
i wernt having a dig at them, i was just saying that they only map it to 1.2 bar where as ive seen others with roughley the same spec mapped by different mappers running a bit more boost, i was just thinking about trying somone else, so ive asked for some help.

Rich will map safely unless you really ask to run higher.

Run higher at your own risk though.

Best bet is to give Rich a call and tell him what you want and see what is opinions are. At the end of the day, if Rich doesn't feel that 'your' car is going to run well at say 1.3 bar then he just isn't going to do. (well maybe he will if you sign a disclaimer!).

Figures aside, how does the car drive ?

the car drives really good so i suppose i should leave the boost as it is, ive also just remembered that its mapped to 1.25 bar not 1.2. im having the mapp tweeked again in a few weeks due to a few more mods. thats why i was wondering what boost other uk scoobs are running with similar mods.

I've had almost identical mods on an MY04 UK WRX wagon since Nov 2005.
Boost is 1.4 bar falling to 1.3.

What size injectors are you using??

That may well be the answer.
To get to 1.4 bar, I'm using STi pinkies (505 cc/min?) and injector duty is up to 87% on a Walbro pump with std fuel pressure.

I'm running 1.4 bar (overboosts up to 1.45 bar) with a VF35/Power FC combo and that's with the 380cc injectors at around 90% and a factory TMIC and a recently rebuilt WRX lump with STi 5 heads. Mapped by Paul at Zen.
