Default engine warning light

hi all

went to my sisters in dewsbury today and the dreaded engine warning light came on. i havent lost any power and the car drives the same so i consulted the manual which said ," light that stays on is an emmisions fault".

ok

had a full de-cat fitted 4 weeks and was wondering if the lamda sensor could of got fouled due to no cats being there and is now giving an error?

subaru dealers said if i pop down they will hook it up to laptop and let me know but what do u guys think.

by the way checked all fluids, i.e oil, coolant and the such and everything is fine.

You need to get the code read to determine the probable cause and then take remedial action or reset.
Where are you located?
