HELP - Boost / PSI
Hi, The PSI gauge goes over 20PSI...??? it has always been set to 15ish.
I had a power drop (like out of fuel) when I was giving the WRX (94 import Wagon) some boost on the motorway. I eased off to see how it settled and it did straight away, I gave it some more and it did the same, I eased off and all was fine ?!
I then tried again and this time noticed my gauge PSI went straight passed 20PSI
It never goes over 15 normally with the foot flat down. The Brass boost control hasn't been altered so I'm at a loss.
Any ideas, at the moment I am driving it carefully, but need to sort this before my Girlfriend gets her mits on it.
Cheers.

Classic signs of overboost, which in turn causes a fuel cut. Check for boost leaks, check your manual boost controller again and try turning the boost down, finally check your boost solenoid pipework to see if it's full of oil.
Yep it's over boosting (just check - gently), its as if there is not restriction on how much boost it will give (until pop).
Just got to try and identify the pipe you were on about
Many thanks Mate, just wish i new which bit was what.
