Default Start Button... fix for ignition switch problem?

I have an annoying problem with my prelude! Sometimes, on turning the key the engine will start but cuts out straight away. Im told this is a classic symptom of a faulty ignition switch. So, instead of getting a new ignition switch..... would it be possible to bypass the starter function of the ignition switch, and wire up a start button instead? Flashy and functional

no.. the start button will only spin the starter.. you say it starts and then cuts out so the starter is no longer spinning so it won't fix your problem.

Get another switch from a scrappy, you dont need the whole barrel and its a piece of **** to fit, you just unplug the ignition harness from under the dash and remove the screws that hold it to the back of the barrel.
