How to remove rear abs sensor??
Am presently tackling changing of rear wheel bearing but seem unable to remove the abs sensor from the back plate. Every nut/bolt so far has required me to get medeival with it but I don't wanna knacker the sensor.
The hub is seperated from the drive shaft and is only now connected to the car via this bloody wire! I have removed the 12mm nut but it will not budge at all.
Rapid reponse would be appreciated as I really need the car back on the road soonest.
Cheers
Ritchie.

Give it a spray of wd40 to penetrate any rust holding it to the hub. Then gently tap on the hub close to the abs sensor DO NOT try hitting the sensor as you will most likely bust it.

I removed my rear hub last week, tried to remove it for nearly an hour. Ended up cutting the wire then reconnecting wires back together when refitted. if the ABS light goes out you know you have a good connection.

Thanks for replies fellas, got the bugger out with some brute force. I've bent the metal fastener bit slightly but I reckon it will probably bend back when I bolt in back in. (Fingers crossed.)
Did you remove your hub cause you were changing the wheel bearing? If so I have some more Q's?

I'm gonna get a local garage to do the pressing out/in work from here. Any tips you can give or is it pretty standard stuff for a garage. It's the first bearing I've done.

It should be straight forward for them to do. Dont overtighten the driveshaft nut when refitting the hub though,Hope you got the right side thats making the noise too.

What did you torque the axle nut to?

150 lb/ft, i stripped my n/side down but it was ok. turned out to be the o/side. Probably have to do the n/side at some point as its only done the same amount of work.

Cheers for the PM geezer,
Finally finished job yesterday and it seems much better. There is still a slight road noise hum though so I'm wondering if the other side needs doing as well. Or it could just be that I have got used to driving a relatively quieter car.
