Default what plugs??

i have done a few things to my wagon now and since i have chipped it has now started to what seems like to be misfiring under high boost im handing it in to my local mechanic (ex subaru mechanic) and he is gonna check the igniton packs and change my plugs just wondering what the best plugs are for me to use? should i go a grade colder? go for hks iridium plugs or ngk iridum plugs please help!!??

my list of engine related mods to my 1994 wrx wagon(import):

chip
arc super induction box
hks super seqeuntial dump valve
samco boost hoses
samco water hoses
uprated forge motorsports expansion tank
twin pipe race down pipe de-cat (all heat wrap covered)
wahlboro uprated fuel pump
full hks exhaust

what power and torque do you think i should expect?obviously the figures u give me will just be a good rough guide cheers chris

NGK PFR6 or 7's i would use. It sounds like your coil packs are on there way out, usally happens when you up the boost.

7's are colder. A possible problem is the pug gap. If the gap is too large the spark can be "blown out" by a high boost level. Before you install the new plugs, set the gap to 0.7mm
PFR7b is fine, the right grade iridium is also OK

Go for the NGK PFR6B, anything else is too cold for your car, especially 8's

Your car has a tdo4 and you'll be running about 260 BHP at a complete guess assuming the chip is running no more than 1.1bar.

Set the gap to 0.7 and see what happens. If you still get the missfire then set it to 0.6 - if that improves things then the coilpacks need replacing.

IMO I wouldn't fit them and get the 6B's, £35 from AS Performance, next day delivery.

best plug for your set up is pfr7b.
