Oil psi will vary with viscoity eg 05W-40 v/v 15W-50. It willalso vary with temperature.
30 psi is typical on older Classic WRX on tick over.
Increasing your oil pressure is quite easy in the right circumstances but what oil are you using and have you set your guage up properly?
How many miles and what M/Y???

My 93 WRX thats running on 10w 40 oil idels just under 2 bar when its had a hard blast (which is about 25 psi) but is just over 2bar when at nominal temp and sustains about 80psi constantly when driving.

My 03 STi with 5/40 at a sump temp. of around 90c and idle speed of 750rpm is 25-30 psi Raising the speed to 900 would probably show 40psi (ish!)
