overstated for what it is, unless you have the APS back catalogue, there are better and far cheaper turbos out there.

ive yet to see ANY car make the claimed 440bhp that this is supposed to be good for.

At £600 it is a steal, remember that most people are put off by the high price of these new...if you get a good mapper with one you will be very happy.....Agree that you will be hard pushed to see over 380hp, let alone 440!!
What is the spec. of the engine ?

at 600 i agree is cheap for it given its RRP, but there are better turbos out there for the same or even less money.

With your set up (assuming you were shooting for 400bhp+) then you might want to change your injectors to help it along a little as the 550s will become strained a little towards the high 300s...

Not unless you use an sx and up the fuel pressure on the rails and use a parallel fuel rail mod. I am maxing out my 20g at 1.6 bar and only seeing 90% use of my 550s with 4 bar static fuel pressure.

I have a fuel lab fpr with gauge but have not done the parallel fuel rail mod. What power are you seeing at 1.6 bar coulty?

Not sure banny. Running 1.6 bar midrange but only seeing 1.4bar top end. Must be near 400bhp and a lot of torque (about 340-350lbsft). Going to have it on the rolling road soon.

I am not after dyno figures, want a car that has excellent mid range punch but can have the extra top end over the vf23.
