Ignition Coil ?
#3
I have just had another look and can not figure out where it is, I have spotted a coil shape which has a plug on it with 2 wires near the passenger side. Could this be it ?

It either has a coil bolted to the middle of the engine with four leads coming from it which is really hard to miss OR it has coils per cylinder and they will be pushed directly on the top of the plugs. Take a look at the top of the plugs if there is a lead on it then trace it back to the coil.

look down to the left hand side of the engine and you will see 2 plastic overs approx 2 inch by 2 inch with a 12 mm nut on each and thats them right down inbetween the chassy and the engine same on the other side

I am really doing this for the youngsters and got a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water beside the car for safety reasons.
Because I could not locate the negative of the coil, I decided to wire it up w/o the control module and went from the battery straight to the coil located inside the boot. Still no flames thou

I really appreciate the help of yours and have just found out that the cars ignition coils has to be cut off in order for the car to leave some of the fuel unburnt

You'll have pleanty of fuel on the over-run, especially with a VTA dumpvalve! Just whack the plug in the exhaust; then go and show off at your local tesco's or what ever people with flamer kits do?

I think some fun on the drive at home should be fair enough, I have wired it all up but the spark doesn't seem to be sparking much. Am I using the wrong wires? The coil, plug and HT lead all came with the complete kit which is suppose to be in good working order.

Increase or decrease the plug gap until the spark is constant. If your doing this with the flamer switched on make sure you use a rubber handled screw driver and dont touch anything metal on the car.
