Either way it is a bitch of a job, tried box out twice and engine out once, both have +/- but if someone will do it for less than £200 PAY THEM.
(especially if the box has not been off before..)

I have access to ramp and i have the time and knowledge....still paying for someone to do it(£200). I would rather sit at home and watch TV, you should do the same mate.

well i took it up to my m8 this morning and he has quoted me £80 , all i have to do is supply the clutch, and yes he knows what hes doing, hes been a mechanic with his own garage for over 20yrs. so not so bad after all.

sport clutches are cable no? and turbo clutches are hydraulic.
does that make a difference in fitting?
Agree with turbo clutch, I think Im a fan of engine out if you have a hoist, very easy to get to then, not the hardest thing to split the box from the lump either, bit of a wiggle and a handfull of huge flatblade

agree with chris there 1 hour is b&llox
i'd rather have the box out than have to remove the engine but then i do them on ramps with a gearbox lift so a lot easier
