Anti-Lag?
#2
There is a thread about this somewhere else in detail, but I do know that ALS are prone to be very noisey, and that 2 people were nearly stopped from hill climbing this year at Loton and Prescott due to ALS bands, not engine exhaust noise.
Fit and use at your peril.
One car ran GEMS and the other Motec

Ok then, regs allowing, is it going to make 'one' any quicker or are you better off with a more 'driveable' car rather than something which is more on/off? I soppose my main concern was lag out of slow bends.

Roy's EVO has it on motec and this undoubtedly helps him out of the bends. it is switchable so leaves it off for the road.
If you can risk it then it will benefit you no doubt.
Carman with a GEMS ecu tried it and found himself to be faster without it!
Not sure if it worth the grief with the Clerk of the Course
Graham.
ps: I know to 2 Impreza's coming to the Midland Hills next year....my time has come!

So that is 4 new cars to worry me!
Can't you all leave me alone!
I am sure you will all take to hill climbs as something much further than drag racing for driver and car.
With your bhp Paul you will take the fight to the EVO as I can't with my car/skill.
This year and last the class has suffered from low numbers in the class which means that the points to be scored are reduced (you need 6 in a class to score max points)
At this rate there will be at least 10 in the class (once upon a time there were 15+!)
Paul, NOX is banned, but pretty much everything else is allowed in the Class.
For the weekend/big meets you must have at least a National Speed A licence.
iirc when I looked at your car this year your car is correct for the class.
ps Pump fuel only.
The EVO has about 450 bhp ish and is well driven, and is rumoured to not run next year (but I've heard him say that before)
Graham (about to retire back to my 911 in a different class I think )
