I've been thinking about getting my car mapped. Its a MY99 UK turbo, and I was thinking of an EcuTek remap.

The only mods that will be on the car at the time of the remap will be a full decat, nothing else. I do not intend to further modify the car.

The cheapest that I can find for a proper EcuTek remap is looking to be around £500 + VAT. With the EcuTek costing so much, and having no controller, is the PFC a better option?

I know the EcuTek still relys on the MAF sensor which is not the best on the MY99 models, does the Apexi use something different. Sorry for the new boys questions

I would normally recommend the Apexi Power FC if you are intending further mods in the future. Otherwise the EcuTeK custom mapping is just as effective (and cheaper)
We do have a maf delete option for Ecutek or Apexi but it is not really necessary for anything under 450bhp. Just make sure you use a proper filter and mount the maf so it doesn't vibrate against anything.
