Default A tale from Thailand

After leaving my STI 7 PPP in storage for a year I decided to bring it to Thailand.
Shipped it to Malaysia and spent two days driving it to my home in Phuket. The drive through Southern Thailand was mindblowing.Good roads little traffic and NO SPEED LIMITS.
Whilst in Malaysia I was able to fill with Shell V power (OPTIMAX).However here in Thailand the fuel is awfull. No octane booster available. I put in a tank of ESSO 95 and the car started to hesitate under acceleration above 3750 rpm. This is getting worse when I floor the throttle it coughs and then keeps hesitating under hard acceleration. I have put 20 broquet pellets in the tank and an top fuel in line broquet to try to improve the fuel to no avail
Help please there are no Subaru agents here.

You could get it mapped for '95.

Contact Henry & the guys at http://www.edge-tuning.com Singapore based, but they map over most of SEA , and may be able to point you at a source of OB in the interim.

Leave the cat on, its a sports cat so free flowing, you will gain very little in changing it.

Thanks Tony, one of the reasons edge want to remove all restrictions is due to the high tenp here.33-35 degrees is pretty normal all year round.

There's a guy from Thailand (Frank) who posts on IWOC - http://www.iwoc.co.uk - he's had his WRX for some time. May be worth getting in touch for some advice on local facilities.

Engine rebuilds are cheap there

Yep,You need to replace it with a de-cat pipe(scoobysport or similar). This will bring on the cel light until the cars re-mapped.
