NGK PFR7B Questions??
On saturday I went out and bought a set of NGK PFR7B and fitted them no probs till today, I started the car and it drove for a while and then it started missing. (Pops, Jerks and Splutters), I went round a corer and it cut out,
I had the day before put in £20 of that BP ultimate (97)
I have a 94 Jap import that has a chipped ECU and dawes device boosting to 0.8Kg/CM
Could it be that the feul was a bad lot and had a load of Crud (white milky stuff) in it?
Could it be that I should have lowered the Gap in the Plugs a bit?
Could it be that my fuel Pump is Fawked?
Could it be ****e in my solenoid?
Could It be my injectors are blocked?
Could it be my coil packs?
I managed to reset the ECU after cleaning out the solenoid with brake cleaner and with reving the engine quite high it seems a bit beter but I can still feel hestiation etc and it feels like the car is not pulling 100% kinda like stutters when it hits high boost..

1st thing to check is the coil packs under the rubber shroud which meets the plug (you may have disturbed them while changing plugs) - if there is any cracks here they will breakdown especially under boost conditions
The plug gap is nominally 0.7mm
Cheers

I did notice small cracks where the coils bolt onto the engine, but that was just the outer superficial unit, nothing that actually touches the plug itself,
What is the space normally when when the plugs are out of the box? I checked the Stock ones that come with the subaru(denso) they are @ 10mil or something!
Its also weird that its only started today like 5 days after I fitted the plugs :S

what Del said plus check the plugs are tight (don;t over tighten though) and I had to set plugs to 0.65mm otherwise I got misfire on boost but I was running 1.4bar..
Personnally I don;t like BP and my car dislikes it too, but wouldn't expect that reaction..

if it is still not 100% then i would double check the plugs.. as nice as the pops might be it might be that there is a problem and you don't want to damage anything.
