STI 5 Type R technical information-where?
Hi all,
finally bought the Scoob I've always wanted First import for me,now realise I have no technical info about it. I'm particularly interested in Gearbox ratios, final drive ratio & what type of front/centre/rear diffs I have, also what turbo does it run & what bhp could I achieve without changing it?
Is there a Type R register? Any help appreciated.
Cheers,John

great car , good luck with it be sure not to over rev it no limmiter and red linning if your mad enough will be expensive i have experiance bought mine today one year ago and have spent over ten thousand just keeping it on rd.
i would recommend changing oil every 3000 miles only use fully synth i use mobile one
change oil pump for roger clark modified pump standard pumps are known to go and that will cost big
the final gear is 1000 rpm to 19 mph
have other details in file will post tommorrow tired now
out of interest what millage has it done
where did you buy
how much did you pay
oh check out iwoc site lots of tecnical info
i have a carbon fibre bonnet if your interested for sale will go straight on looks the nuts

Hi, bought the car off here off of RAF1 (cheers m8 still loving it!)
Sonic Blue V Ltd I think (well it has the roof vent),not saying what I paid
66000 miles, one owner, fsh, heads rebuilt by Graham Goode as previous owner foolishly ran it on normal unleaded
It's already booked in for:
AP organic clutch (still on original)
Gearbox rebuild
Knocklink
Boost gauge
Walbro pump
RCM oil pump
BRD remap
Powerstation alignment plus bump steer mod
Think my bank manager will be having words but who cares?
Many Tks for iwoc & no limiter tips
cheers, John

All STI's have a 4.44:1 final drive (CWP) but the Type R/RA's had a lower group gear set (1-5) in the gearbox. V-Ltd's had the option of the 0.78/9 Type R/RA (can't remember which) or the 0.825 (4door STI) 5th gear.
