Unhappy lots of steam from bonnet!!!!

hi, i need a new radiator for my scooby its a my96 wrx, does anyone know where i can get one from? are the jap models rads different from uk rads? and any idea how much?? in for a good weekend now, there goes me beer tokens!

the cheapet place to try is a motor factor ie partco, brown bros or any local factor or try ebay you never know mine went **** up on my old car a 95 wrx i got 1 from a factors although they did have to order it in was good quality.

Are you sure the rad has gone and its not just a hose split? It squite common to have hose failure spriying a fine jet onto the engine, giving big steam...

Just a though.

no the end cap had split, looks like it may have been bodged in the past to keep it going.

Bugger, try Grade A Subaru, API Impreza or Town End Garage for spares.

thanks mate ill try them gonna try the local factors first see if a uk spec the same as jap.

The UK and Jap are both the same spec, I had to replace mine a few months back on my MY97WRX and got a Nissens pattern part for just under £150 from a local radiator specialist.

No problems with the fit either.

threre is a company on ebay that does a new one for £100 delevered next day. Got mine of there and am very happy with it. Not O.E but who cares.
