Hi chaps

This is not mega serious but here goes ,

My97 turbo starts first time runs fine has loads of power etc etc,But when i aproach a junction after a good run , and have to slow down i go from third to second and when in second i hit the brake and dip the clutch at the same time like i did in my prelude and then go to put it in neutal. But very occasionly the car just cuts out ????. i dont know if subaru' s just dont cope with this ?, or wether im not that use to it yet?, but its happend 2 times in the 3 weeks since i have owned the car ?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've got an MY96 UK Turbo, had similar sort of problem, kept cutting out when the car was stopped after nice little blasts, seems ok now. Did'nt manage to find out what it was though.

whats the maf ?, sorry im a bit thick , i have booked it into a subaru dealer on thursday for a diagnostics check.cos im fed up with wondering when it will strike again ?

It fits between the filter box and intake hose on the engine side

 

cheers mate , im bricking it that the dealer is going to tell me its something really major !!!, but it only happens some times when slowing down for a junction and i dip the clutch and hit the breaks?????
