Question APS FMIC

Hi,

I am buying a APS FMIC, has anyone got any pics or instructions of how to fit?

A ready cut bumper is included...So mainly need to know of where to take the bumper off and run the pipes etc....

I have noticed a big thread on the HYBRID FMIC, which i am reading through, but not sure if the APS fittigns will be the same..

Thanks for the help in advance.

Probably easiest to get the chap to fit it for you. You got a bargain there.

Mind you it prolly not that hard to DIY. I always find it easiest once the bits are in front of you.

The recent e-bay APS FMIC was for a Classic £600........ somebody got a real bargain there

I got my APS FMIC for £750 but it arrived damaged form the seller........ still sorting the situation out but big thanks to the Cumbrianscoobs who swapped the STi TMIC in the pub car park !!!

I actually agreed a price with the seller before the auction ended....and was going to collect Wednesday...but seems the auction ended...so the seller is talking to the winning bidder...as my offer was more to start with...

So i will find out tommrow...

SamUK

The Advert on e-bay is basically an "offer to chaffer", so the seller can sell it to you without problem I hope you got it!!

Someone has offered me a HKS FMIC...so am deciding between Harvey's and that at the moment...

HKS FMIC KIT @ £480 Delivered (Used)
HYBIRD FMIC KIT £580 Delivered (New)

Am waiting on close up pictures of the HKS, as 1 line has a 2cm minor dent, though been told its not noticeable....Apart from that the fins are perfect...

Is there anything else i should be looking out for in th HKS apart from the Fins?

The cores are softer and therefore more prone to damage than both the Hybrid and APS. If you fit the HKS then put on a protective mesh which will effect efficiency, marginally.

Agree with Harvey on the mesh, if i havent already told you by email Sam. The APS must be the toughest out there.

Okay....so the APS is now out of the question...

HKS for £480 or HYbird for £580?

Harvey, no offence, but i just wana check between the 2, as the price on the HKS is little cheeper...though im sure i will get allot more usefull help from yourself and others on the Hybird....as most people have them and there is a installation thread on it...

Help......

HKS is long term proven, and for £480 + £20 for some mesh, i would go with the HKS over the Hybrid. Its a doddle to install.

Well...I made a deal with him just before the auction end...again on the phone aswell as well as via email!

Then his story was:

The guy won the auction lives down his road, and he does not want any trouble from him (how convinient)...which ofcourse i knew was a pile of Cack....but he should not have agreed a price with me!! I cancelled my orders so that i could go collect that...

THE GUY WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!

PS: I must have spent a good hour on the phone to him aswell, wasted my time and my BILL! Deal was done and i was to collect the next day from him.
