Default hybrid intercooler performance?

i'm looking at getting one of these intercoolers for my ver3 sti with a ej257 swop.
i was wanting to know really how good they are at flowing around the 400hp mark? and how much pressure drop across the core poeple are getting?
they seem very well priced.

i can get just the cooler for about $500nz so this is the cheapest option but just wanted to know how good they are as theres no point buying one if it dosn't flow much air.

do you realise that the pipe work is as expensive as the core and its much harder to source getting an intercooler core cheap is easy, getting the pipe work is totally different, why do you think the places who sell the cores dont sell the kits

the pipes i'm doing on my car will go between the raidiator and the lights with a bit of cutting. i did this to my old rs legacy and the pipes end up very short. i don't like the look of the long pipes that come with the kits.

if a can make my pipes shorter with less changes in direction and pay cearfull attention to how the air flows into and out of the end tanks they will be better.
