Question Fuel Pressure Regulators?

Morning all!!!

What Fuel Pressure Regulators are people using, and how would you rate them? I want to run fuel pressure at 4bar with a suitable pump, but don’t want the regulator to fail. I have heard that the FSE isn’t the most reliable.

Any thoughts/advice

Thanks Mark...

Got mine off Ebay but after duty and getting the fittings, ended up £150.

Pirtek can do the fittings for you.

The other bit you might need is an adaptor to go on the end of the fuel rail, I just used the one off my knackered old FSE, T-uk did the same.

Good idea. You'd also need a pressure gauge and some fittings.

I got one from him, you get stung for £30 duty and fees though. Pirtek did the fittings for £10. They said they weren't actually -6, but I don't understand these fittings, it's quite complicated.

Whats wrong with just using std pr reg. and keeping std fuel pressure and modifying the injector pulse width and duty cycle.

Nothing, if your injector are big enough. But the 2mm return hole in the standard reg can be too small with an uprated Walbro pump and push the fuel pressure a bit higher at idle/low flow conditions. Not a big problem if the lambda sensor can bring it to stoich.
