Post Some advise please...

I have a 1998 Uk Spec Sccobs with the following engine mods:

Apexi ECU
Apexi Power FC Commander
Apexi POT 3 Boost Solenoid Kit
Apexi Induction Kit sti 5
Manual Boost Control Kit
Iridium Spark Plugs
Walbro Fuel Pump
Walbro Fuel Pressure Regulator
Blitz Nur-Spec R System 4” Tail with Jap Innovations De-Cat Down-Pipe
TD04 Turbo

I am about to buy a TD05 Turbo, and was thinking of replacing the FC Commander for something alitle easier to use, such as maybe the Apexi S-AFC and AVC-R. (not sure if this will do)

Any thoughts on the above?

Or what else would some one recommed that i could swap out the Fc commander for?

Sam

Im reading up on two items:

Apexi S-AFC II and the Apexi ACV-R...though i think these are alitle more user friendly but not as functional as the FC Commander?

Is that correct?

Different things tbh mate, the AVCR will obviously control boost but the SAFC will only allow very limited fuelling changes.
The SAFC will make Ignition changes but only by changing the MAF signal for the fuelling..

In other words, your PFC is fully mappable and can make changes in ignition timing but can also alter the fuelling seperately.

An AVCR would compliment the PFC and make the boost control user friendly, also giving bright displays of various functions, teh FC commander does the same but looks lame IMHO and isnt as user friendly..

Rob

p.s. please excuse spelling

Just a little curious as to why you have both of these ? Surely the MBC makes the 3 port solenoid redundant ?
