2, When i finish driving how long should i leave engine running for? take it easy for a few miles, then let it tick over for a couple of minutes

3. Do i need a boost gauge? do you want one?

4. What does a turbo timer do? turns the engine off after a preset time to allow the turbo to get oil circulation, thus cooling

5. Is bp ultimate as good as optimax? NO

6. It has a heat shielded induction kit, dump valve and decat pipe, is this all ok? should be ok, get a knock link

Thanks in advance,

Buzz

1, Is a 94 wrx import faster than a uk car?
yes, a standard uk car

2, When i finish driving how long should i leave engine running for?
A hard run, a minute or two, or just drive off boost for last part of journey.

3. Do i need a boost gauge?
not really, whatever floats your boat

4. What does a turbo timer do?
the basic ones keep the engine running when keys taken out of ignition. More expensive models have different features

5. Is bp ultimate as good as optimax?
I only use Optimax, sure the jury is out on this, I would think on balance optimax the safer bet

6. It has a heat shielded induction kit, dump valve and decat pipe, is this all ok? Yep I suppose. Only on later models were the above a problem. There *might* be a case for uprating the ecu to better control the fueling, but ill leave some1 who knows more on this to tell you

Thanks in advance,

Buzz

Definitely invest in a knocklink.
If you're getting any det, you're going to need to either up the fuel pressure a wee bit, or get a good remap.

Thanks to everyone that answered, it is all a bit new for me. Before buying a car was just buying a car, but i want to give the scooby the respect it deserves. It seems there is so much to learn. I have been on here everyday to try and get up to speed but i really needed those specific questions answering.

Once again loving the power
