Default Boost controller?? Which one??

Hello all,

I'm considering getting one of these for my 94 uk. I have a full scoobysport de-cat system on and thats about it.

My question is, is there any particular makes that you can reccomend or advise to stay clear of (without offending anyone). I was having a look at maybe Dawes or JW??? I was originally after a scoobyecu but thought i wouldn't have much luck as everyone seems to be after one!

Also, is there anything else I should know about before getting one of these, keeping in mind i'm only looking at going to 0.9bar or maybe 1.

Cheers

I have just recently bought the Blitz sbc Type S and I love it.
It is on my MY00 and it was fitted by Jap Innovations in Oldham.
It goes up to 1.2 bar which is plenty for me. Certainly feel the difference.

I've had an Apexi AVC~R fitted for a few months now...
No probs.
Does everything you would expect
Holds boost level well.
Bit tricky to understand the instuctions at first (translated badly from Jap!) - Once you use it it becomes self explanatory though!

used a dawes (from JW) on my 98 uk for 6 months without any probs - better spool up and set it for 1.1 bar - (I did /do have a KL and AFR though) - pretty good for 40quid I'd say !

Only took it off when had PE remap done (600 quid...)

Wink

Using an Apexi AVCR currently , was using an HKS EVCIV - they are both very good boost controllers each having advantages over one another

Cheers

I am looking for a guinea pig to try out an electronic boost controller. You would need to be able to fit it yourself and report back on its fitting and operation, good or bad. If you wanted to keep it the cost would be £125 or I would happily take it back. If this is of interest contact me : harveysmith1@btopenworld.com
High boost and low boost settings and initial trials here are promising.

Why not try VOS chip as it is the same thing as scoobyecu with different map of course?
