Default To FPR or NOT to FPR?

Have an MY01 booked in for a TEK3 in August with BR Developments . I plan to change the fuel pump to a Walbro 255lph for a bit of peace of mind.
Is it NECESSARY to also change the stock FPR. Anyone running an MY01 TEK3 with JUST the uprated pump and not FPR & experiencing problems?

Thanks

Mark.

Think it's the fact the std FPR can't cope with the higher pressure, at least on Classics, IIRC.

I changed both and had no problems. Classic wagon.
