Andy - My Autometer AFR is pretty static at startup and takes a min or so to start jumping about. As long as i'm seeing greens on wot, i'm happy

My autometer is on yellow as soon as I turn the ignition on. it moves around a bit to start with but the readings are a bit hit and miss due to it taking a short while for the lambda sensor to heat up and give a reliable result.

as long as it starts pulsing after a couple of mins I shouldn't worry about it.

Yeah - mine was playing up the other week. It's now earthed straight to the battery and soldered to the ecu wire
