Cool I think I know the answer!

Its nearly always the MAF sensor, closely followed by the O2 sensor.

Is it me, or have these reached epidemic proportions? If I had a penny for every one thats failed....

My MAF failed a few weeks ago.(brand new, lasted 1 week) Luckily it went totally fekked and the car just died and would not restart. Changed it out with the old one after a bit of a sweat and it was fine again.

Could have been worse if it partially failed as it went when the car was doing about 5000rpm accellerating in second.

I'd settle for a £1 per coil pack (on pre MY97 cars) I suggested changing for curing misfires.
