what are the advantages/disadvantages of running a dawes or similar type of boost controller when your car already has a tek3 map, runing tdo5 with 1.25 bar of boost at the moment

 

Quicker spool up and can raise standard boost by around 10-20% - makes a standard scooby feel much faster. IMHO with your mods it's not worth the hassle as you would not want to increase boost.

 

just had the car mapped on friday and the most i can hit is 17.6 psi, its slower than when i had my tdo4 in, was wondering if you can use manual boost controller to up a few psi, everyone seems to have theirs set at about 1.35-1.45 bar and mine is under that
