I used to own a jdm Wrx my 94 the speedo's terminal read out was 180...
My Brother has just purchased an my 94 wrx sti its terminal speed out reads 120??

Can any one offer some tech help on why the two cars are different as in speedo reading and more importingley How can you tell what your terminal speed is when you pass 120 mph on the latter?? track days of course...

 

120 mph? Its gonna cut out at 112 mph dude if its a jap import. The reason why some speedos have 180 mph is that we wanted to get rid of the fuel cut at 112 mph and be able to go faster than that by changing the gearing on the speedo cable..
