ive just been given a phillips 6 cd multichanger ,it plugs straight into the standard subaru stereo, and is all working fine, but,i dont know where to put it .i was told by the person i got it off to put it under the passenger seat, but it says on the cd magazine not to put it near the heater as it will damage the cd's and the magazine .so surely someone on here must have one of these and can advise me on where to put it.

On my classic '98 car, I have a Sony one. It's mounted next to the MD changer, on the right hand side of the bootfloor, loading slot facing upwards.
You can drill through for fixings, Waxoyl the hole and bolts that protrude through, then run the wiring along the sill by removing the covers: two or three clips is all, and there is room between sill and carpet.

Just bought a MY00 with a Kenwood autochanger in the boot. Its positioned up near the base of the rear window. Causing no ends of trouble with skipping though , might try moving onto floor or buying a new head unit with single CD.

mine is in the boot but going to move it under the drivers seat as it skips all the time. The sat nav disc lives under my pass seat and never had a prob with it.
If u put it under the seat, rmove the seat ist, bit of extra time (4 bolts) but neater job and easier to bolt in and hide wires.
