Oil Pressure reading?

Just been out in the car and the Defi was jumping from 4bar down to 3bar and back up again 
This was ONLY on idle but was fine when the car was moving.
WHY?

dose it have enough oil in?? the oil pressure will drop if its too low
if not then I would suggest the oil pressure is dropping because the engine is slowing and not the other way round, if you find why its lossing power then the oil pressure will act normally
i would get it somewhere for a diagnostic quick!
