What sort of tunin' has been done to it?

If it has a cone filter or downpipe then its OK to here that noise.

Car has done it since i bought it when it was on 6,500 miles. now on 40k.

Mickey, The sound you heard could have been a few things, especially at that kind of RPM. (no doubt fairly consistent?)

It could have been a heat shield (on the turbo), the wind deflectors (if fitted) can cause a few strange deceptive noises. And lastly it could just be a loose bit of trim somewhere at the front, catching the wind.

These things can be pretty hard to find when they only appear at that sort of speed.

Hi Mickey,

I took mine on the motorway for the first time about a month ago, and found at just over 120mph it made the worst gushing noise ever, we fought one of the doors woz open.

Sussed it in the end, seems at that speed the air pressure sucks the windows out enough for air to be dragged out the car through it
