Question

I imported a new uk spec car from the netherlands about a month ago, when I first got my V5 it had on it,

Make SUBARU
Model/Type 2-AXEL RIGID BODY

I Called the DVLA and then sent the V5 Back, and the new one they sent me is the same, Anyone seen this before ?

Has anyone else imported a uk spec & what does your V5 say ??

Gary.. ??

Gary, send it back with a letter telling them what you want it to say (ie Scooby Imp etc) - I did and they changed it and sent it back FOC.

gary,
mine (dutch) says:-
make subaru
model/type impreza turbo 2000 awd
take glens advice and send it back with a
covering letter. the mistake may be due to
the way the v5 application was filled out ?!?

My V5(4 a 92K WRX)says the same as Albob's "model/type impreza turbo 2000 awd"

Wonder if I can insure it as a 2000 turbo AWD (UK car?)

trigger,
i dont think its a 'problem' as such. just it would look better to a future buyer if the v5 identified the vehicle by its model name, rather than 'subaru, two axle ridig body' !?!?

Gary

I have a dutch sourced MY00. My V5 says impreza turbo 2000 awd etc.

I know what you mean - it sounds a bit agricultural. I think the DVLA can be a bunch of muppets smts but they do seem willing to correct errors if you tell them what you want.

Did you get fully synthetic oil from the start, did you get the car serviced at 1000miles and have you had an warranty dramas?
