how useful is obd2 data?

I just got an OBD2 logger connect to my laptop..

software: http://sourceforge.net/projects/freediag
hardware: http://www.planetfall.com/~jeff/obdii/

and wondering what else I can do with my ECU (Canadian 97 2.5 NA DOHC) besides the standard readings.. it would be nice if I can monitor the A/F ratio, EGT etc...
