different magnatexes?

just got my 1000 mile oil change.
I asked what oil they used in case I needed to top it up (as the aftercare guy said when I picked the car up - check every 1000 miles), but the service guy said I shouldn't need to - so didn't say. It said magnatex on the invoice though - but are there different viscocities available?

Think all Magnatec is 10w/40. Either way, you don't have to top up with the same stuff. Something like Motul 200V 10/40, Mobil Super S 10/40 or Shell Helix Plus 10/40 will do fine, probably work better than the Mag.
Change the oil again at 4000 miles for one of the above (preferably not Magnatec), and again at 7500 miles, only this time put 15/50 Mobil 1, Motul 300V, or 10/60 Castrol RS in it.
Edited to say: Definitely listen to the after sales guy's advice about checking oil level. The new MY03's do seem to burn a bit. If anything, a weekly check is probably not too often, just in case.
