Looking to put a Prodrive ecu in my car will it work i have a MY98 UK Turbo with the ecu below



And i was wanting to put this one in A18-000DIX from a MY99 UK Turbo



Can anyone help before i spend my cash.....?

Don't think so. MY98 is a Phase 1 engine, whereas MY99/00 have Phase 2 engines, so doubt the ECU's are compatible.

If your car is really a MY98, then I don't think it will fit.

However, if it was registered at the end of 1998, it could be a MY99. Then it will work. The best bet is to check the year marker on your VIN number. There is a lookup table on the web somewhere - it was on Scoobynet earlier this week...

First ECU (A18-000 D37) is Euro MY97/98.

Second ECU looks like an MY99 PPP.

Definitely NOT compatible.

you could email the chap that has just posted.I considered a Unichip,but have decided to save up for a Link from BR,due to other mods that will inevitbly happen.Someone recently said Power Engineering can remap a MY98 now,dont know if thats true btw
