Hi,

I've just changed my dawes device for a scoobyecu and when using WOT, the boost is only running at 6-8psi most of the time, occasionally it will go to 15psi. I haven't over filled the oil,
Any ideas what maybe wrong?
Thanks.

No, I've just checked them and they're all tight. Any other ideas?

Did you include the original restrictor(s) in the pipework just as standard?

There was a tee piece with a restrictor in one of the legs which I connected to the pipe which went to the fuel cut valve. Are there any others?

OK, I give up. Where are the black and green wires supposed to be? I've have both bottom pieces of trim off from around the steering wheels and I can't see these wires to check for error codes. Any idea which area I should be looking? They are not taped to the colunm.

Thanks.

Quite often these connectors are looped back and taped to the wiring loom itself...

They should be there, but they can be very well hidden!

The Lone Ranger and Tonto had been riding down the trail all day. When they had stopped to take a rest Tonto placed his ear to the ground and listened.

"Buffalo come," remarked Tonto.

"How can you tell, Tonto?" asked the Lone Ranger.

"Face sticky."

My95 uses a three prot solenoid, pipework should be connected with turbo outlet to the port on the top of the solenoid, wastegate actuator to the port on the side of the solenoid and the port on the bottom connected to the black resonator box (or left to atmosphere if the plastic spigit on the box has snapped off). There should be a 2.0mm diameter brass restrictor in the pipe that connects to the bottom solenoid port. To improve boost response this can be removed although you do risk hitting the boost cut if you do.

Check that the pipework is like this.

The solenoid could be just stuck, connect the two green test connctors together and turn on the ignition, the ecu will cycle through all its functions running fans etc. The solenoid is also pulsed during this and if you listen you should hear it clicking.

If pipework is ok and the solenoid works then reset the cu (disconnect the battery for 20 mins) and then see how it behaves.

Bob, thanks for that I'll check the pipe work.

By the way, on the way out in the car last night and the boost gauge was registering 15psi and performance was good, but on the the return journey, the gauge only showed 6psi and performance was back to cr@p.
